The construction of the Libby Dam on the Kootenai River began in 1966, forty years after Harry Britton died in 1926. Almost certainly, these notations were written by Harry's son, Maurice, near the end of his life, in the early-to-mid 1960s, when the Libby Dam was in its planning stages.
